Tolstoy wrote that “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”
A bit of an oversimplification, maybe, but there’s something there.
Every family has its struggles, but sometimes bringing in a professional to help cut through the noise and make sense of the chaos is the most effective way to restore family connection and cohesion.
Family therapy can be fraught and complicated, and the stakes often feel precipitously high. You need someone who can handle it all, juggling several perspectives simultaneously while holding the family’s best interests at heart alongside each individual’s. Whether it’s me or someone else, I strongly recommend seeking out a therapist who’s actually trained in and experienced with family therapy—it makes a big difference.
Many of the families I meet with are families with adolescents, an age group I especially excel with (and enjoy). Sessions are ~50 minutes and are most effective in person, though virtual (via Zoom) can be an option.
You won’t necessarily!
And I won’t, either, until we have a chance to discuss your situation in more detail.
motivated to change and ready to try something different
eager to learn about one another and themselves
open to accepting responsibility for their own roles in behavior patterns
willing to prioritize the work both within and between sessions
able to keep appointments consistently
Please get in touch with me directly to discuss scheduling availability.
The current rate is $350 for a ~50-minute session, either in person or virtual.
No, but I’m happy to provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
The short answer is: no. I’ve done in-home therapy for many years but am currently phasing it out. All sessions take place either at my office or online via Zoom.
No, but I often work closely with psychiatrists and can provide referrals when appropriate.

I’ve moved away from couple therapy over the years to focus more on individual and family work, but if you’re interested, please do get in touch.

The best way to determine whether we're a good fit is to get the conversation going.
Get in touch below to schedule a complimentary consultation call via phone or Zoom. Even if I don’t have any availability (or we’re not a match after all), I’m often able to provide referrals to other trusted colleagues within my professional network.
